TSI 2.0 English Workshop

Audience:
English, Social Studies, Science and elective teachers, administrators, building instructional coaches

Rationale:
Literacy can not be accomplished in a boot camp. By having all teachers gain a deep understanding of the demands of the test, alignment to their TEKS, the PSAT and SAT, and Texas College & Career Readiness Standards, all will contribute to the success of students and subsequent success on TSI 2.0.

Explore the TSI 2.0 English Workshop, a specialized session crafted for all secondary educators guiding students through college readiness assessments, including the TSI 2.0. This workshop is designed to deepen educators' understanding of the TSI English component and offer practical strategies to support student success.

In this 3-hour session, participants will delve into the intricacies of the TSI English assessment, focusing on essay preparation and strategies for navigating the multiple-choice sections, which evaluate reading comprehension, revising, and editing skills. Additionally, educators will learn about protocols for classroom implementation and effective data tracking methods to monitor student progress over time.
By providing educators with these insights and tools, the workshop aims to equip them with the necessary resources to foster high levels of English competency among students and prepare them for college-level assessments.
